Visas, recognition and admission are decided by German authorities, employers and universities, not by us. What we can tell you is which telc certificate they usually ask for, and how long it takes from zero.
Nursing recognition
Most German states ask for B2 before they recognise a nursing qualification. Many also accept telc Deutsch B1·B2 Pflege. From zero: about 10 months in the regular format.
B2 groups and datesWork in IT or engineering
The Skilled Immigration Act asks for German for many jobs. Employers in IT and engineering usually want B1, often B2. From zero: about 6 to 10 months.
B1 and B2 groupsStudy at a German university
Public universities ask for C1, for example telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule. Most charge no tuition fees. From zero: about 13 months regular, 11 months intensive.

Complete beginner? Book the next A1 group. Already speak some German? Take the free online level check, about 10 minutes, and confirm the result in a short call with a teacher.
Learn in your group
Live classes on Zoom with the same teacher and the same people, at most 15. 90 minutes per session at A1 and A2, 135 minutes from B1. Homework after every session. Missed a class? The recording is there for 48 hours.
Sit the telc exam
Every level ends with a full mock exam under real timing. Then you register for the official telc exam at a licensed exam centre. We help you with the registration.
Levels
Five levels. Each one prepares you for the telc exam at that level.
Descriptions follow the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). Durations are for the regular format with 4 sessions a week.
Beginner
By the end of A1 you can
- use simple everyday words and phrases for basic needs
- introduce yourself and others, ask where people live and what they do
- take part in basic day-to-day conversations
Elementary
By the end of A2 you can
- understand common sentences about family, shopping, your area and work
- handle simple everyday tasks with a short exchange of information
- describe your background and your immediate needs in simple words
Intermediate
By the end of B1 you can
- follow clear speech about work, school and free time
- handle most situations when travelling in German-speaking places
- talk about experiences, plans and goals and give short reasons
Upper intermediate
By the end of B2 you can
- understand the main ideas of difficult texts, including in your field
- hold a natural conversation with native speakers without strain
- write clear, detailed texts and weigh pros and cons of a question
Advanced
By the end of C1 you can
- understand long, demanding texts and implicit meaning
- speak fluently without searching for words, also at work and university
- write well-structured texts on complex subjects

You book and pay one level at a time. The telc exam fee is paid separately to the exam centre.

A teaching unit is 45 minutes. Each session counts 2 or 3 live units plus 1 unit of homework. Included in every level: live classes, all course materials, homework correction, one full mock exam, recordings for 48 hours. Prices are final prices. [VAT note to confirm]
Pay by card, or in instalments
Pay in full by card and your seat is confirmed immediately. Or pay in instalments: 2 for A1 and A2, 2 or 3 for B1 to C1. The first instalment at booking, the rest by payment link before the level ends. No extra charge.

Tick "invoice to an employer" when you book. We send the invoice with their order number.
Change your mind
Cancel or move to another group free of charge until 14 days before the start date.

I have never learned German. Where do I start?
At A1, on the next start date. The first sessions cover the alphabet, pronunciation and greetings. You do not need to prepare anything.
What time are the classes?
Regular groups meet four evenings a week, for example 19:00 to 20:30 IST at A1 and A2 and 19:00 to 21:15 IST from B1. Intensive groups meet five evenings a week. The exact slot of each group is on the courses page, in IST and CET.
Is the telc certificate accepted by German authorities?
telc certificates are widely accepted by German authorities, employers and universities. Which certificate you need for your case is decided by the authority or employer. Ask them, then book the level.
Do I have to take the exam with you?
No. You register for the telc exam at any licensed exam centre. Our organisation runs one in Gießen, Germany. If you are in India, we help you find a centre near you.
What happens if I miss a class?
The recording of the session is available for 48 hours. Homework is still due on the original date.
Can I switch from regular to intensive?
Yes, at the start of a new level. Tell us on WhatsApp when you book the next level and we place you in the intensive group.
Can I pay the course fee in instalments?
Yes. A1 and A2 can be paid in 2 instalments, B1 to C1 in 2 or 3. The first instalment at booking confirms your seat. For the others we send you a payment link on WhatsApp and by email, each due within 7 days. There is no extra charge. Instalments already paid are not refunded after the cancellation deadline.
Do I get exam preparation after the course?
Every level ends with a full mock exam under real timing. After the course, until your telc exam date, you keep practising with HeyFlinko, the telc practice platform of our organisation: telc-style tasks for your level and feedback on your writing. [access terms to confirm]
Can my employer pay for the course?
Yes. Tick "the invoice goes to an employer" when you book and enter their address and order number. They receive one invoice with a 14-day payment term.
The next A1 group starts on Mon 5 Oct. Seats are limited to 15.
